Connect CultureMatch to Your AI Assistant: Introducing Our MCP Server
CultureMatch now has a remote MCP server, so AI assistants like Claude can run your entire culture-fit hiring workflow for you, from survey to interview guide. Here's how to connect it.
CultureMatch was built on a simple idea: the attitudes that separate your best people from the rest are knowable, and you can interview for them. The work to get there, though, has always taken a handful of steps. Describe the role, generate a survey, invite your team, wait for responses, analyze what came back, and turn it into an interview guide.
Today that entire workflow can be run by your AI assistant. CultureMatch now has a remote MCP server.
What this means
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to real tools and data. Instead of copying information back and forth between your assistant and our app, you connect CultureMatch once and your assistant can do the work directly, in the same conversation where you are already thinking about hiring.
In practice, you can type something like:
"Help me build an interview guide for the Senior Account Executive role we are hiring for."
and your assistant will walk through the steps with you: creating the project, generating the employee survey, adding the people you want to survey, sending the invitations, analyzing the responses once they come in, and producing the final scored interview guide. You stay in control of every decision; the assistant handles the mechanics.
How to connect it
You will need a CultureMatch account. Connecting takes about a minute.
- In your AI assistant, add a custom connector or MCP server.
- Use this server URL:
https://getculturematch.com/api/mcp - Your assistant will send you to a CultureMatch authorization screen. Sign in if you are not already, review what you are granting, and click Allow access.
- That is it. The CultureMatch tools are now available in your conversation.
From there, try a simple prompt like "What is the CultureMatch workflow?" or "List my CultureMatch projects" to confirm everything is connected.
What your assistant can do
Once connected, your assistant can:
- Create a project for a specific role and company.
- Generate and edit the employee survey questions.
- Add the employees you want to survey, marked as top performers or not.
- Send survey invitations by email on your behalf.
- Track completion and tell you when you have enough responses.
- Extract the attitudes that separate your top performers from the rest.
- Generate interview questions for each attitude, with follow-ups and scoring signals.
- Produce the final interview guide, ready to share and export.
Built with privacy and control in mind
We designed the connection to be safe by default.
- You authorize explicitly. Access is granted through a standard OAuth consent screen that shows exactly what the assistant can do. Your password is never shared.
- You can revoke anytime. Open the API & Connections page in your dashboard to see every app you have connected and remove access with one click.
- Payments stay with you. An assistant can never charge your card. When a purchase is needed, it hands you a secure payment link to complete yourself in your browser.
- Your survey data stays anonymous. Responses are analyzed in performance-tier groups, the same way they are in the app. We do not expose which named employee said what.
A note on discovery
Alongside the MCP server, CultureMatch now publishes a machine-readable catalog of what it does, following the emerging Agentic Resource Discovery standard. As AI assistants get better at finding the right tool for a task, this helps them surface CultureMatch when someone asks for help building a better, more data-driven hiring process, without anyone having to wire it up by hand first.
Hiring for the attitudes that actually predict success has always been the goal. Now you can get there from a conversation. Connect your assistant and try it on your next role.
